Ways to become a member

Any one can be an Associate Member as long as they agree with the core values of ASTHFI.

For Registered Members we are looking for a minimum of level 6 or over, which includes qualifications outside Ireland, Qualifications considered include Coaching, Facilitation, Train the Trainer, which may have included Therapeutic and Horticulture elements.

Relevant Life experience and other qualifications are welcomed for discussion on a case-by-case basis.

For STH facilitators looking to grow their practice in a supportive community, guided by best practice

  • Full membership of ASTHFI

  • Access to policies including Child Protection, GDPR that can be adapted to individual practice

  • Approved STH Code of Ethics

  • Access to members resources

  • Garda vetting 

  • Space on ASTHFI website

  • Networking & training opportunities

  • Invitations to monthly ZOOM-members meetings

  • Opportunity to facilitate a ZOOM-meeting on a topic of your choice

  • Extra ZOOM-meetings with guest speakers

  • Community practice and/or peer mentoring sessions

  • Peer supervision available at an added cost.

How to join

To submit an application for membership with ASTHFI you need to:

1. Choose your membership type: Associate or Registered Member

2. Download, print and complete the relevant membership form (click on the icon)

3. Return the applicable form to Chairperson Nicola Carroll via email (asthfimarch@gmali.com) or post

Access resources & get added to the website

1. Access member resources

Registered ASTHFI members can access shared resources such as code of ethics. To do so:

  1. Click on 'Access member's resources'

  2. You will be prompted to 'Sign up'. Complete the form to do so (if you already have an account you can sign in instead)

  3. Only registered members (that have applied and paid the €150 fee) will be allowed access

2. Get your details added to the ASTHFI website

Registered ASTHFI members can have their details published on three
locations on the ASTHFI website:

  • About us - ASTHFI members

  • About us - Interactive Google Map

  • Your own webpage
