Mary Marsden
Welcome to the webpage of Mary Marsden, a skilled social therapeutic horticulture (STH) facilitator based in the scenic coastal town of Skerries in Co. Dublin. With a passion for gardening and an understanding of the healing power of nature, Mary completed her STH facilitator course in 2022 and has been using her skills to help individuals connect with nature ever since.
Mary understands the many benefits of engaging with nature and growing one's own plants, both physically and emotionally, and aims to help others experience these benefits as well. In her practice, she offers tailored STH interventions for individuals or small groups of participants. She works closely with each participant to understand their unique needs and develop achievable goals that are meaningful to them. Her interventions are designed to help participants experience the healing power of nature and learn how to cultivate their own gardens in a way that is both enjoyable and therapeutic.
Skerries is an ideal location for practicing STH interventions, with its picturesque seaside location and mild climate providing the perfect setting for connecting with nature. The town is known for its scenic beauty, charming historic buildings, and vibrant community, and boasts a variety of community gardens, parks, and green spaces, including the stunning Skerries Mills, which is a popular destination for locals and visitors alike.

As a founding member of the Association of Social Therapeutic Horticulture Facilitators in Ireland (ASTHFI), Mary is proud to be part of a community of like-minded individuals who are passionate about promoting the benefits of social therapeutic horticulture throughout Ireland.
